Getting Started
What is Diocha?

Diocha is a car care platform connecting consumers with vetted professionals across the DC Metro Area. We offer three categories of service: mobile detailing (a pro comes to you), wash facilities (reserve a bay at a top-rated location near you), and light maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, battery checks, and more, from mobile techs or local shops).

Everything is bookable in one place, with transparent pricing, real-time tracking, and providers who have been vetted before they ever appear on the platform.

Where is Diocha available?

Diocha currently serves the DC Metro Area. Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We’re in the process of expanding. If you’re outside this region and want to be notified when Diocha reaches your area, join our waitlist.

Is Diocha free to use?

Yes. Browsing providers, reading reviews, and creating an account cost nothing. You only pay when you book a service.

Service pricing is set by each provider. Diocha may add a platform service fee, which is always disclosed before you reach checkout, so the total you see before you confirm is the total you pay. Cancellation and no-show fees may apply separately if you cancel late or miss an appointment.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Diocha account.
How does Diocha work?

Browse verified providers near you, select your service, pick a time that works, and confirm. Payment is handled securely through the app. You’ll receive real-time updates when your provider is en route and when the service is complete.

For wash facility reservations, you’ll receive a confirmation for your specific bay or time slot, no waiting in line.

Are providers on Diocha vetted and background-checked?

Yes. Every provider goes through identity verification and a background check before their profile goes live on Diocha. Providers are also required to hold all licenses, certifications, and insurance that apply to their work.

After every completed service, clients are invited to leave a review, so ratings come from real bookings rather than curated testimonials.

Providers on Diocha are independent businesses, not Diocha employees. Vetting is a screening step, not a guarantee of the quality, safety, or outcome of any individual service. Reviews reflect the opinions of individual users and are not endorsed by Diocha.
How is Diocha different from other car care apps?

Most car care platforms focus only on mobile detailing. Diocha covers all three categories, detailing, wash facilities, and light maintenance, in one place. We also include features no legacy app offers: Weather AI that alerts you when conditions aren’t ideal for outdoor services, a loyalty rewards program that works across all service types, and a transparent fee structure on the provider side that keeps quality professionals on the platform.

Our Services
What services does Diocha offer?

Three categories:

Mobile Detailing exterior washes, full interior and exterior details, engine bay cleaning, paint correction, ceramic coating, and paint protection film. A vetted pro comes to your home, office, or wherever your car is parked.

Wash Facilities reserve a bay at a top-rated facility near you. Options include hand wash, self-serve bays, automated tunnel wash, and premium detailing suites.

Light Maintenance oil changes, tire rotations, battery tests and replacements, wiper blades, air filters, and multi-point inspections. Available from mobile technicians who come to you, or local shops you can visit.

What’s the difference between mobile detailing and a wash facility?

Mobile detailing means a vetted professional comes to wherever your car is, no drop-off, no waiting room, no driving anywhere.

Wash facilities are physical locations, bays, tunnels, or suites, that you visit. Diocha lets you reserve your spot in advance so there’s no queue when you arrive. Both are bookable through the same platform.

For light maintenance, can I find both mobile techs and local shops?

Yes. The light maintenance category on Diocha includes both mobile technicians who travel to your location and fixed local shops that you can drive to and drop off. Each provider’s profile clearly shows which type they are, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule.

Do you handle fleet or corporate vehicle maintenance?

Yes, and fleet works differently from consumer bookings. For corporate and municipal fleets, Diocha contracts directly with your organization rather than introducing you to an individual provider. Diocha is the service provider under that contract, and we subcontract the work to fleet-capable providers in the Diocha Pro network.

That means a single agreement, a single point of accountability, and one invoice, instead of managing relationships with a dozen separate vendors. Diocha is responsible to your organization for the delivery and standard of the work, schedules and assigns the subcontracted providers, and handles any issue that arises rather than pointing you to the individual who performed the service. We serve fleets across the DC Metro Area. Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

To discuss a fleet or municipal program, contact us.

Fleet and municipal engagements are governed by a separate written services agreement between Diocha and your organization, not by the marketplace Terms and Conditions that apply to individual consumer bookings.
Bookings & Scheduling
How far in advance can I book a service?

You can book same-day (subject to provider availability) or schedule in advance. Most providers accept bookings up to 30 days out. Availability is shown in real time when you select a provider.

Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

Yes. Diocha’s standard cancellation policy is based on how much notice you give:

More than 24 hours before your appointment — no charge.

Between 2 and 24 hours before — a cancellation fee of 50% of the booked service value.

Less than 2 hours before, or failure to appear — a no-show fee of 100% of the booked service value.

The policy that applies to your specific booking is displayed before you confirm, so you always know where you stand.

Do all providers use the same cancellation window?

Not always. Fixed-location providers — wash facilities and local shops — may set their own cancellation window of up to 48 hours. Any provider-specific policy is disclosed to you at the time of booking, before you confirm.

Mobile providers follow Diocha’s standard policy: free more than 24 hours out, 50% between 2 and 24 hours, 100% inside 2 hours or for a no-show.

What happens if I miss my appointment?

Failing to appear for a booking, or cancelling less than 2 hours before it, is treated as a no-show and charged at 100% of the booked service value. Your provider has already reserved the time and, in the case of mobile service, may have traveled to you.

That said, we know life happens. Every customer gets one no-show fee waiver per calendar year, applied automatically to your first qualifying no-show — you don’t need to request it. Any further no-shows in the same calendar year are charged in full.

What happens if I miss appointments repeatedly?

Customers with a documented pattern of no-show behavior may be asked to prepay for future bookings, or may have their access to the platform restricted, at Diocha’s discretion. Providers on Diocha are small businesses whose income depends on a reliable calendar, and protecting their time is part of keeping quality professionals on the platform.

What happens if it rains on the day of my outdoor service?

Diocha’s Weather AI monitors local forecasts and alerts you when conditions aren’t suitable for an outdoor service, rain, heavy pollen, or humidity that could affect a ceramic coating or exterior detail. When Diocha or your provider initiates a weather-related change, you may be offered automatic rescheduling to the next clear window at no charge, or you can reach out through the app to arrange an alternative. Weather-related reschedules handled this way are not treated as customer cancellations.

Weather AI forecasts are a convenience feature provided on an “as is” basis and are not a guarantee of conditions on the day.
How do I track my provider?

Once your booking is confirmed, you can communicate directly with your provider through secure in-app messaging in the Diocha app, no need to share personal phone numbers. When your provider is en route, you can also track their location in real time. You’ll receive notifications when they’re on the way, when they arrive, and when your service is complete.

How does payment work?

Payment is processed securely through the Diocha app. Pricing is set by your provider, and any Diocha platform service fee is disclosed before checkout, so the total shown before you confirm is what you pay. No mandatory tip prompts, no add-on ambush.

Any cancellation or no-show fee you incur is charged to the payment method on file for that booking, in line with the cancellation policy shown at the time you booked.

Can I get a refund?

If a service is not rendered because the provider cancelled, you receive a full refund.

Refunds on completed services are subject to that provider’s individual refund policy, which is shown on their profile. If you’re unhappy with the quality of work, raise it through the resolution process in the app and we’ll help both sides reach an outcome.

Diocha is a marketplace and does not guarantee refunds on service-quality disputes. Those are resolved between you and your provider, with Diocha facilitating the process.
What happens if my provider cancels?

You’re refunded in full for any service that wasn’t performed because the provider cancelled. No cancellation or no-show fee applies to you. You can rebook with another provider through the app, and our team can help you find an open slot.

What if my vehicle or property is damaged during a service?

Every provider on Diocha is required to carry commercial general liability and garage-keepers insurance (or the equivalent) covering property damage and injury arising from their work. Report any incident through the app right away so it’s documented with photos and a timestamped record of the booking.

This applies to individual bookings made through the Diocha marketplace, where Diocha is a technology platform rather than the service provider: damage and injury claims are resolved directly between the customer and the provider, under the provider’s insurance, and Diocha will supply booking records to support a claim. Corporate and municipal fleet contracts are handled under a separate agreement with Diocha.
How do Diocha pre-paid subscription plans work?

Diocha may offer recurring pre-paid plans for customers who get their car cared for regularly. When you enroll, your payment method is charged automatically on a recurring basis, monthly or annually, at the rate in effect at the time, and the plan renews until you cancel.

You can cancel any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and partial months are not prorated.

Loyalty Rewards
What is the Diocha Loyalty Rewards program?

Diocha Rewards is a points-based program that rewards you for qualifying bookings on the platform, whether you’re booking a mobile detailer, reserving a wash bay, or scheduling light maintenance. Points accumulate in your account and can be redeemed toward future services with participating providers, and qualifying purchases also build toward status tiers.

How do I earn loyalty points?

Points are earned automatically on qualifying completed bookings. All three service categories can qualify, mobile detailing, wash facility visits, and light maintenance. No opt-in required; your account accrues points as you use the platform, and the qualifying criteria in effect are shown in the Rewards section of the app.

How do I redeem my loyalty points?

When your balance qualifies, redemption options appear at checkout for bookings with participating providers. Simply apply your points toward the cost of the service, the discount is applied automatically before payment.

Can I use points with any provider?

Not with every provider. Points are redeemable with Territory and Empire tier providers on the Diocha network, our most established professionals. Available redemption options are shown clearly at checkout based on your selected provider’s tier, and redemption is limited to the specific services and discounts the platform makes available.

Do loyalty points expire?

Points do not expire on a fixed schedule, and they remain in your account while it stays active. Where we can, we’ll notify you before an extended period of inactivity affects your balance.

Diocha may modify, suspend, or terminate the Rewards program, change status tier criteria, or change the redemption value of points at its discretion and at any time, with or without notice. See the Terms and Conditions for full details.
Do points have cash value?

No. Points, miles, and status tiers have no cash value. They are not your property and cannot be redeemed for cash, sold, or transferred to another person or account. They can only be applied toward eligible services and discounts on the Diocha platform.

For Providers
How do I join Diocha as a provider?

Visit pro.diocha.com to apply. It’s free to join and no credit card is required. You’ll complete your provider profile, verify your identity, select a subscription tier, and once approved your profile will go live in the Diocha marketplace, typically within 24 hours.

What fees does Diocha charge providers?

Diocha charges a 4% CRM fee to process bookings from your existing clients, and a 9.8%* fee on new clients sourced through the Diocha marketplace. For comparison, many marketplaces typically take 20–25% or more.

* The 9.8% lead gen fee applies to providers who participate in Diocha’s inclusive hiring program. Providers who do not participate are subject to a standard lead gen fee of 12.5%. See pro.diocha.com for full terms.
What are the Diocha Pro subscription tiers?

Diocha Pro offers four tiers:

Independent $0/mo. Get started with no upfront cost, basic scheduling, and 3 service listings.

Operator $29/mo. Advanced CRM tools, route optimization, automated invoicing, and 5 listings.

Territory $49/mo. AI Weather Marketing, Prepaid Subscriber Reach, advanced analytics, and 15 listings.

Empire $79/mo. Everything in Territory plus priority lead routing, featured search placement, a dedicated account rep, and full Diocha Academy access (34 modules).

Every tier maintains single-digit platform fees.*

* Fee qualifications apply. Subscription pricing may change on thirty (30) days’ written notice. See pro.diocha.com for details.
What is Diocha Academy?

Diocha Academy is a professional training program exclusive to Empire tier providers. It includes 34 modules across two tracks: Business Development (client acquisition, pricing, fleet contracts, growth strategy) and Auto Care Technical Skills (product knowledge, application techniques, safety practices).

Completing a track earns a certificate that displays directly on your Diocha provider profile, helping you stand out to clients browsing the marketplace.

Diocha Academy certificates, badges, and tier credentials are internal platform metrics showing completion of Diocha’s own training. They are not state or federally recognized licenses, professional trade certifications such as ASE, or endorsements of a provider’s competence, safety, or quality, and must not be represented as such outside the platform.
Does Diocha offer reduced fees for providers who hire returning citizens?

Yes. Providers who formally participate in Diocha’s inclusive hiring program, by employing returning citizens or individuals with documented disabilities, qualify for the reduced 9.8% lead gen fee rather than the standard 12.5%. This is part of Diocha’s mission to build economic opportunity alongside a great marketplace.

Participating providers must supply valid documentation verifying participation on request, and Diocha may audit compliance at any time. A provider found non-compliant, or to have falsely claimed participation, may have the reduced rate revoked and be charged the standard rate retroactively on all applicable past bookings.
What is the Velvet Rope?

The Velvet Rope is a feature available to Territory and Empire tier providers. Diocha’s pre-paid subscriber clients earn loyalty points redeemable only with Territory and Empire providers, meaning the platform’s highest-intent, most loyal clients are routed directly to your calendar, bypassing the open marketplace entirely.

These clients book more frequently, have higher lifetime value, and represent the most reliable source of recurring revenue on the platform.

What is the Weather AI / Rainmaker feature?

The Rainmaker is Diocha Pro’s AI-powered scheduling feature available to Territory and Empire providers. It combines real-time weather forecasts with each client’s service history to identify who is most likely to need service ahead of or after a weather event, then automatically sends targeted outreach on your behalf.

The aim is to help you fill the clear windows around a weather event instead of losing them, without manually chasing leads.

Weather AI, the Rainmaker, automated outreach, and other predictive features are provided on an “as is” basis. Diocha makes no representation or warranty as to their accuracy, reliability, or financial outcome, and providers use them at their own discretion.
About Diocha
Where is Diocha based?

Diocha is headquartered in Frederick, Maryland. We currently serve the DC Metro Area. Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

When was Diocha founded?

The idea for Diocha was conceived in May 2020, inspired by the founder’s personal experience watching his father navigate an exploitative car care industry as a Yellow Cab driver in Washington DC. After five years of development and refinement, Diocha was officially established in 2025.

What does “Diocha” mean?

Diocha comes from the Igbo phrase dị ọcha, meaning clean, pure, or pristine. Igbo is a West African language spoken in Nigeria and is the heritage of Diocha’s founder. The name reflects both the service the platform delivers and the standard every transaction should be held to: transparent, fair, and free from exploitation.

The brand name Diocha is pronounced Dee-oh-chah.

What is Diocha’s mission?

To make every form of car care, mobile detailing, wash facilities, and light maintenance, accessible, trustworthy, and fair. For consumers who deserve honest service and transparent pricing. For providers who deserve honest economics and tools that actually help them grow.

How does Diocha support returning citizens and people with disabilities?

Diocha offers reduced platform fees to providers who employ returning citizens or individuals with disabilities and employment barriers, making it economically meaningful, not just symbolic, for businesses to hire inclusively. This program is part of our broader mission to build genuine economic opportunity alongside a great marketplace.

We also prioritize partnerships with providers who use eco-friendly products and water-efficient practices.
